Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, also referred to simply as Discovery Kingdom, is located 30 miles from San Francisco, 25 miles from Oakland, and 65 miles from San Jose, in Vallejo, California.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom opened for the 2012 operating season on March 17, 2012. On opening day, the park was open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The park will remain open on weekends only through May 27, 2012, with the exception of being open all week during April 2-13 for Spring Break. After May 27, the park will be open every day through the summer.[4] General admission for 2012 is $54.99 for adults, $36.99 for children under 48 inches tall, and free for children aged two and younger. Parking is available on-site for a fee of $15 per vehicle.[5]

- During the spring of 2012, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is offering a free season parking pass for visitors who purchase four season passes at a time. The free parking pass is worth $55.[6]
- Guests who purchase their admission tickets online at least three days in advance qualify for a $20 ticket discount.[6]
- Park visitors who purchase their tickets online get a $15 discount off the gate price.[6]
- Six Flags Discovery Kingdom offers discounted combination tickets for guests. These include a combination admission ticket and meal ticket that costs just $49.49 and a combination admission ticket, meal ticket, and parking ticket for just $61.49.[7]
- The park offers plastic souvenir cups that can be refilled all season long for 99 cents per refill.[8]

- Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is part of the Go San Francisco card program. This means visitors can save up to 40% off more than 50 area attractions, including Discovery Kingdom.
