The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, also called the Desert Museum, is a Tucson, Arizona, attraction that was founded in 1952. The museum is both a natural history museum and a zoo with over 300 animal species and more than 1,200 plants.[1]

About the Desert Museum
The Desert Museum is open daily October through February from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily from March through May from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., June through August from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and daily in September from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission prices September through May are $14.50 for adults and $4.50 for children aged 6-12. Admission prices June through August are $12 for adults and $3 for kids aged 6-12. During the summer, admission on Saturday nights after 4 p.m. is $7 for adults and $3 for children.[2]
The museum offers visitors a variety of exhibits to check out that include the Desert Grassland, Cat Canyon, Desert Loop Trail, Riparian Corridor, Cactus Gardens, Pollination Gardens, Walk-in Aviary, and Earth Sciences.[3]

- Visitors can purchase a Tucson Entertainment Coupon Book to get access to a coupon good for a free admission ticket to the Desert Museum with the purchase of an admission ticket.[4]
- Children under the age of six are admitted free.[2]
