About Applebees
Applebee's is a casual dining restaurant with the motto, "There's no place like the neighborhood." The restaurant got its start in 1980, when partners Bill and TJ Palmer created an Atlanta, Georgia establishment called T.J. Applebee's Rx for Edibles & Elixirs. Although the two sold the brand to W.R. Grace and Company in 1983, Bill Palmer renewed his ties with the restaurant when he became an Applebee's franchisee two years later. In 1986, the restaurant officially changed its name to Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. The restaurant eventually expanded throughout the continent of North America to include just under 2,000 locations.[4]
Today, Applebees continues to offer a large, constantly evolving menu and has added amenities such as carside to go services.
